They wanted a quiet, beautiful day to celebrate their wedding with their closest friends, and that’s exactly what they created. While her details were exquisite -lavender sprigs wrapped in lace table runners with hand-cut wood rounds balancing bright wild flowers and love quotes surrounded by homemade jam for each guest- the air of the entire affair was sweet and low key. No tossing of the bouquet, no cutting of the cake (excuse me, the five *decadent* cakes), no raucus dancing. Just a roomful of people enjoying one another’s company and coming together on a gorgeous summer day to celebrate one of the most perfect couples I’ve ever had the honor of meeting. Kids played with bubbles, guests laughed freely, and the groom was so overtaken with love for his bride that it would make the hardest man on earth tear up. I could not have loved this wedding more.
