Mark & Karen’s beautiful July wedding was definitely an exciting first for us: it was set aboard the infamous Lady Washington, also known as the HMS Interceptor from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. SO cool! While it took quite a bit of flexibility & work on Karyn’s part to track down a booking on the ship, it was totally worth it. The day was bright & beautifully sunny, a perfect day for a sail around Bellingham Bay. After a sweet ceremony on deck (coincidentally officiated by an old friend of my family – small world!!) all of the guests enjoyed appetizers and a three hour cruise while the pirate-clad crew skillfully worked around everyone. Afterwards we all headed in to Fairhaven Park for a picnic-style party, complete with bubbles, pinwheels and horse-drawn carriage rides.

(PS Check out their engagement session at Deception Pass… these two definitely have a thing for the water. ;D)
