After their engagement session, we were super excited for Josh & Kristi’s July wedding. Not only are they a kick in the pants to hang around, but they planned a fun-loving reception filled with lawn games, yummy goodies and plenty of laughter! After a beautiful ceremony in their home church, we all headed over to Nature’s Connection; a new wedding venue and a GORGEOUS setting for an outdoor wedding! The weather was beautiful and everyone had an absolute blast.

Ben & Sara {Seattle Wedding Photography}
Ben and Sarah are adorable. Of course, we already knew that from their engagement session… but their wedding day was so happy and smiley all around, they just reached a whole new level of couple cuteness!
Our last June wedding, they had perfect weather for playing around at the beach; which is exactly what we did immediately following the afternoon reception with the new bride & groom and their party. An amazing day all around! I love that we get to be there to capture wedding stories like this one.
This was so funny – they got bored dancing to their first song, so they invited the kids to join them & finish it out.
Leave your congratulations for the happy couple!
Matt & Jazzy {Bellingham Engagement Photography}
Matt & Jazzy are one of those SUPER cute couples that the rest of us normal people just stare at in awe.
Along with that, I personally was also pretty impressed that Jazzy showed up in stilettos for the first half of the session; she walked all over Western’s campus in those things, and looked awesome doing it!! It was an amazingly sunny day in June when we met up with them and as usual Western didn’t disappoint with all of the cool nooks & crannies there are to play in.
If your comments were candy, I’d eat them all day.
Ross & Emily {Seattle Engagement Photography}
We met Ross & Emily for their engagement session at the simply amazing Volunteer Park in Seattle. That place is FABulous – for one thing, it goes on forever, so you never run out of more places to go. Plus it’s absolutely gorgeous and full of trees, flowers and cool structures like the brick stage & gigantic brick tower. So on a drizzly day in June, we braved the wetness and paraded ourselves around the park. (One plus on a rainy day: you’ve got the whole place to yourselves!)
Leave a little love!
Mark & Karyn {Seattle Engagement Photography}
Back in June we got to hang out with Mark & Karyn at Deception Pass for their engagement session. It was awesome – THEY were awesome! And it was a perfect day, too: the clouds held off just long enough for us to play around before unleashing, which makes for killer cloud shots.
Their wedding aboard the Lady Liberty (also known as the HMS Interceptor from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie) was even more awesome… you’ll definitely want to come back and check that out.
I love to hear your thoughts!
Jake & Talitha {Snohomish Wedding Photography}
After we’d met with them for their engagement session, we knew that Jake & Talitha’s wedding was going to be an amazing one. Surrounded by their closest friends & family (and with son Luke at the alter!), these two became Mr & Mrs on a perfect June afternoon at the Anthea Ballroom in downtown Snohomish. And dinner? Chinese “takeout” from their favorite restaurant! How totally awesome is that??!
Kevin & Sara {vancouver wedding photography}
I had THE hardest time narrowing down which images to choose for this blog post! One of our favorite weddings of 2011, Kevin & Sara set their wedding at the beautiful Harrison Hot Springs in British Columbia. It was the ultimate garden wedding, with every vintage chic detail even more awesome than the one before. Not only are Kevin & Sara a gorgeous couple, they also happen to be a total kick in the pants! We laughed our way through the entire day.
Whadd’ya think??
Steven & Whitney {bellingham engagement photography}
Steven & Whitney are an amazing couple. They’ve gone through a lot together in the last few years, and you can tell as soon as they look at each other that they’re completely, deeply in love. Not the mamby-pamby kind of love, either – this is the real stuff. We got to spend the afternoon at Semiahmoo with them for their engagement session.
Leave a little love of your own!
Love & Lemons {destination wedding photography}
This post will be a bit limited: for reasons of military security, we cannot show identifying images of the groom, and we’re going to avoid much specific information.
In May, we flew out to be a part of this beautiful lemon-and-lime themed wedding. As we had only communicated with the bride & groom via phone and email at this point, we got together the day before the wedding for their “engagement” session – really just an excuse to hang out and get to know each other. Totally had a blast! They wanted to avoid the typical beach shots, so we stuck with the wedding theme and played around in a local lemon grove. The next morning, we headed off to the hotel and the big day was off & running! Even with the priest getting caught in traffic -WITHOUT a cell phone- and thus being an hour and a half late to the ceremony (talk about wedding day stress!), the day was beautiful. The bride wore a breathtaking backless gown, the weather was sunny and hot, and the party was fabulous!
And then comes the wedding…..
Larry & Kelley {bellingham engagement photography}
Larry & Kelley can be summed up in one word… okay maybe two: COMPLETELY AWESOME. They love vintage; they ARE vintage. Seriously, they may have dolled up a bit for the engagement session, but this is them all over! Kelley, along with being a bartender, is a photographer; together with her sister, she covers weddings as Hand in Hand Photography (now Kim Nelson photography). Larry, in addition to being a barista, is the front man for his band Poke da Squid. To say the least, they’re busy people! We had the best time with them when they came up from Seattle for their engagement session in May, and I absolutely cannot WAIT for their vintage carnival-themed backyard wedding this July!! (Yeah, did you hear that – vintage backyard carnival. SWEET!)
Leave your comments, vintage style.
