The Crim boys are a breed all their own – talented, smart, well mannered, they play hard and are pretty much your all-around, all-American boys. Seriously! I’m so impressed with this family, Kevin and I just love them. I got to photograph Coulson’s older brother Jordan when he was a senior, before he went off to play football with Central. Now it’s Coulson’s turn to be top dog in the house for awhile! 
We got together back in May to document this momentous occasion.

Tony and Sarah eloped in Hawaii, and when they got back they threw a fun, casual reception for their family & friends. Tony is from Mexico, so they had delicious Mexican food – and even a mariachi band! Totally awesome.
Sarah and her mom MADE all of these cake pops as favors for the guests.
Oooohhh, what to say about these two… we seriously, honestly, really adore Jess & Brian. Jess was our roommate for about a year and a half before Brian stole her away from us – jerk! ;D lol But she couldn’t have found a more perfect match. Just being around these two for five seconds you know that they were absolutely made for each other. Their April wedding posed a unique challenge; I was one of her bridesmaids AND we did the photography. Quite the day! Kevin covered the entire ceremony (okay, except I MIGHT have walked down the aisle with a camera in my hand… at the last second I just couldn’t be stuck up there with nothing to capture those up-close moments…!) and then we all ran outside in the drizzling rain to whip together some pictures with the party before running back in to start the reception. It was crazy, but it worked!
Jess chose to wear her mother’s wedding dress – they did a lot of altering (I think the original dress had long lace sleeves & a high neck) and the end result was the perfect mix of vintage & memories.
These shots are what made me glad that I decided to take that camera down the aisle at the last minute. I can’t believe what an honor we have to capture moments like these.
Jess is passionate about Toms Shoes and their mission to provide practical help to children in third world countries. I think most, if not all, of the shoes that she owns are Toms! As her gift to her bridesmaids, she bought us all matching pairs of Toms – and of course, she got a pair for herself, too. 
Brian & Jess met at the Woods Coffee (where Jess works), so when we saw this coffee shop sign right next to the venue, we had to make a quick stop.
The incredibly talented Jesse Morrow played his song “I’ve Got You” for their first dance. Jess plays the violin with Jesse and his band.

We knew that Hank & Tina-Joy were awesome from the first meeting. When we got together in Seattle for their April engagement session, the dramatic thespian Tina-Joy had packed a literal carful of clothes & props for us to play with – including two GIGANTIC balloons. So, I can’t take credit for any of the props you see here, they were all Tina-Joy’s creativity!

Another amazing couple. Sara is absolutely STUNNING, and Kevin is her perfect match. These two found us through Luke & Jess, so we actually got to hang out with them a lot – Jess & Sara were both bridesmaids in each other’s weddings! I love it. Their engagement session was on gorgeous February morning in downtown Fairhaven. Enjoy!

We often are in awe of the coolness of our clients. When we met Luke & Kristin, we clicked immediately – I LOVE these two! Luke owns & runs State Street Auto Body, and it keeps him inhumanely busy so Kristin did most of the wedding planning herself. We met with them back in February for their engagement session and pretty much just played around the whole time. From fake trains to squish faces, this was an AWESOME session.
This just about sums these two up.
This was awesome. As we were on the tracks, Luke joked about photoshopping in a train. Well… I thought it’d be funny too! I promise – there was NO train. (You wouldn’t believe some of the responses we all got from this image!!)

On a rainy Northwest day in January, Luke & Jess came down to brave the elements on their engagement session. I went to school for a semester with Jess in Spain, and I was SOO excited when she contacted me about doing her wedding! At their engagement session the four of us had way too much fun… as usual. We kicked that rain’s butt, these two are the cutest!
This is their “circus act.” LOL!

Josh and Kristi are freaking aDORable! They came up in the middle of freezing January for their engagment session. And they were up for anything – climbing trees, jumping in mud puddles, they even brough their seahawks jerseys! LOVE them. And their lawn-game themed July wedding was every bit as much fun as this was!

Tyler and Elizabeth already have one beyond-adorable offspring, and are due for a second pretty soon. Riley was a kick to photograph once she got used to the strangers with the big black thing following her around! We had an awesome afternoon with all three (four) of them tooling around beautiful Fairhaven.
Ken & Jenn are getting married SOON – in three short weeks! We met up with them last weekend at Pike Place Market for their engagement session. “We’re not a mushy couple,” is what Jenn told me when we met with them the first time but anyone can see that they’re definitely in love.
Ken was severely injured while on tour in Afghanistan and is home recovering. He wears a brace bolted into his leg bone and bears some awe-inspiring scars elsewhere. Kevin and I were not only impressed with his service to our country – but also with his tenacity to walk around shooting pictures for an hour and a half! Please let me extend a sincere, heartfelt Thank You to Ken and to the other men & women who serve & protect us in the US Military, and their families at home. Their sacrifices often go unnoticed.
