Steve & Megan {bellingham engagement photography}

Believe it or not, our second wedding of the year was another Steve & Megan – what are the chances?? This Steve & Megan are actually from North Carolina, but Megan’s family is all up here. We met them when they came up the week before the wedding and got together to play for their pre-wedding session. I especially love how these two met – they were at a dog park with their little furry munchkins, and when Megan came home she posted on FB: “I found a husband at the dog park today. Shh, don’t tell him!” Ha! Is that perfect or what?

Tommy & Libby {Bellingham Engagement Photography}

Tommy and Libby were our last wedding of 2010 (their wedding will be up on the blog soon). A few weeks beforehand, we got together to hang out for their engagement session in Fairhaven. We expected rain, so Libby brought her sweet rain boots… but, no rain. Doesn’t mean you can’t wear them anyway, right??

Yep, that’s me. In Bellingham Bay. In December. Crazy? Maybe – but the shot was worth it!!

Justin & Vicky {Bellingham Engagement Photography}

Alright! The blog is back. Justin & Vicky are getting married this summer on Lummi Island, and Kevin & I are SOOO excited for their wedding! We got together with them back a few months ago for their chilly evening engagement session. They’re awesome – from Justin’s fabulous Aussie accent to Vicky’s ridiculously infectious giggle, they made the session so much fun. Happy planning, guys – I’m sure the beach in July will be lots warmer than Fairhaven in October.

Luke & Kristin {bellingham engagement photography}

We often are in awe of the coolness of our clients. When we met Luke & Kristin, we clicked immediately – I LOVE these two! Luke owns & runs State Street Auto Body, and it keeps him inhumanely busy so Kristin did most of the wedding planning herself. We met with them back in February for their engagement session and pretty much just played around the whole time. From fake trains to squish faces, this was an AWESOME session.

This just about sums these two up.

This was awesome. As we were on the tracks, Luke joked about photoshopping in a train. Well… I thought it’d be funny too! I promise – there was NO train. (You wouldn’t believe some of the responses we all got from this image!!)

Luke & Jessica {bellingham engagement photography}

On a rainy Northwest day in January, Luke & Jess came down to brave the elements on their engagement session. I went to school for a semester with Jess in Spain, and I was SOO excited when she contacted me about doing her wedding! At their engagement session the four of us had way too much fun… as usual. We kicked that rain’s butt, these two are the cutest!

This is their “circus act.” LOL!

Daniel & Stephanie {bellingham engagement photography}

Woo hoo!! The blog is BACK! And we’re going aaaaall the way back to the beginning of the year to recap our amazing clients & friends of 2011.

Daniel & Stephanie got together with us for their engagment session in January. It was freezing, and there was snow on the ground – but being true Washintonians, we still went down to the beach. ;D And had a GREAT time!

Daniel & Stephanie do a lot of swing dancing together, and they busted out a few moves in the snow. Not bad, eh?

Jen & Baby {Bellingham Maternity Photography}

My friend Jen is due with her first child at the end of September, so last week she & I headed out to capture some maternity images before she pops. It was a blast! It was absolutely the perfect overcast day, with just enough wind that no one was out at the park – so we had it all to ourselves. She is SO cute!! …I hope I look this good at 8 months pregnant.

Andrew & Jenna {Bellingham Engagement Photography}

Andrew and Jenna’s vintage-inspired wedding on beautiful Orcas Island is coming up soooo fast… I absolutely cannot wait. It’s going to be gorgeous. We met up with these two at Lairmont Manor a couple of weeks ago – mostly to use their Steinway piano because Andrew is a music aficinado. The afternoon went fast! Just as fast as the hours ticking away until the big day…..

Tim & Kristina {Edmonds Engagement Photography}

What a beautiful day for an engagement shoot! We hung out with Tim & Kristina last month on an absolutely gorgeous day in Edmonds for their engagement session. It was awesome! We rolled down hills, climbed on pilings, played in the freezing cold water…. well, they did all that. ;D Anything for a good picture!! Jon & Sarah {Engagement Photography}

Sarah & Jon met with us on a blustery Sunday morning in Edmonds for their engagement shoot – luckily, it was perfectly timed to avoid the afternoon rain. They braved the cold with ice cream (doesn’t everyone?) and we had fun finding all the cool little nooks and crannies that Edmonds has to offer. They’re a wonderful couple together, and we’re really looking forward to their September wedding!

So the story with the ice cream… is that Jon & Sarah spent a LOT of their early dating time at this Baskin Robbins, where Sarah worked. It was fun to go back and re-create a few memories!
